“It is so good to get outside in the sun and eat out once again,” Lucille said as we sat together in Ebenezer’s Mexican Restaurant in celebration of Cinco de Mayo Day. Several Elders were with her, along with her sister Betty and the staff of CCCR, to enjoy some Mexican cuisine. Earlier, Elders enjoyed taking turns trying to break open the piñata with every whack of the stick. Finally, the piñata gave way to the persuasion of the blows and released its treasure of sweets. It was a rewarding effort to exercise their bodies and enjoy the tasty treats. It was a happy celebration for all participants.
